Legal

From time to time it is good to have a second opinion on franchise legal matters, especially when you are trying to make comprehensive changes in the way you do business. Most of the time everything is straight forward, but sometimes your counsel may want someone knowledgeable to bounce things off of just to be sure. For that we recommend attorney Marvin Rooks. If you have a question about franchise law Marv should know, he teaches it full time. You can reach him at mrooks@mail.barry.edu.

Professor Marvin Rooks has been practicing law in the Orlando area since 1972 in the areas of Franchise and Distribution Law and Commercial Law. He has been a senior partner in several premier law firms including, Giles, Hedrick and Robinson and Turnbull, Abner, Daniels and Rooks.

Professor Rooks joined Barry University in 2002 as an Adjunct Professor and developed one of the few courses in Franchise Law in the country. In 2008, Professor Rooks became a full-time member of the law faculty.
